To crop your picture is easy. Cropping is available in both the basic and advanced editors. To find out more about each of these editors click here for more information.

Step 1

First, you have to get or select a picture to edit. Providing that you use the extension for Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer, or you have an account with at least one picture, all you have to do now is to load the picture into either one of the editors. Click here if you are not sure how to get this done.

Step 2

Now, you should be in either the basic or advanced editor. After the picture has loaded successfully, you are ready to begin. Just select 'Crop' from the list of 'Basic Effects' to your left and this will automatically show the 'Crop Settings' above.

You should notice that eight (8) squares and a dotted rectangle should have appeared on the outline of the current picture. If you don't see them, click on the link to your left under the 'Crop Settings' that says 'Hide or Show Crop Tool'.

Also, you should notice four (4) input boxes where you can manually type the crop information into if you like.

Step 3

To select a crop region, you can use you mouse to drag any one of the eight (8) squares to the positions on the picture that you would like to be cropped. You can also drag the crop region (the highlighted area within the dotted lines and the eight (8) squares) around on the picture.

As you move the crop region, you should notice that all other regions on the picture become shaded and only one region remains highlighted. This allows you to clearly see the region that is being cropped.

Step 4

After you have selected the perfect crop region, the next step is to apply it. Just click the 'Apply Now' button and watch the picture update itself within seconds. Once the picture has been updated, you can:

You can always remove the current 'Crop' changes by clicking the 'Remove' button under the 'Crop Settings'. The picture before the cropped changes should restore to its previous settings.

Remember, you can always apply and combine multiple effects to get a better picture. This means that after you crop a picture, you can still apply a grayscale effect, adjust its brightness, flip or rotate the cropped picture and many more...
